London based Hedge fund looking to hire a candidate for the development and of a new trade execution platform to accommodate increased capacity

LOCATION : LONDON

I am currently working with a fund in London that is looking to revolutionise its model implementation strategy and implement a more effective means by which to execute that strategy.

The fund is currently running several mid-term strategies, however their capacity has recently increased significantly, and as such are looking to fully improve their current infrastructure to accommodate this, as well as be able to run higher frequency strategies as the fund evolves.

They are looking to take on an individual who can design and implement an appropriate order management system which will able to communicate with a variety of different counterparties (banks, exchanges, brokers), and a variety of different methods (DMA, use of algorithmic tools, FIX protocols to bank platforms etc.)

Currently the group primarily trades fx and exchange-traded futures and as such relevant industry experience within these asset classes is required. The successful candidate will have had experience implementing electronic trading platforms, knowledge of algorithmic technologies and any exposure to high-frequency trade execution would be beneficial.

The primary role will be to put in place a fully-scalable order and execution management system for the company’s systematic trade execution and developing the platform to communicate trade information to internal p&l and risk management systems.

Compensation for the role is excellent as the company see this as a vital part of its growth and are looking to invest heavily into the infrastructure to allow for this expansion. the success of the project will strongly impact the direction, capacity and growth of the fund and the successful candidate can expect their remuneration to reflect the increased profitability of the fund due to their contribution.
